Urban Camouflage by Blaise Gauba is a graphics design company I started in 2013 specifically aimed at the young and young-at-heart market, focusing on the Urban Street Skater, Snowboarder, and Surfer including the Urban Athletes of Parkour, Buildering, and Urban Bicycle Trials Masters with the idea that my design appeal speaks to the Urban Sports Enthusiast through its esthetic, gritty, often colorful and yet chaotic vision. I pull no punches when I say that I am a bit of an anarchist who always thinks how incredibly important it is to constantly Question Authority... most especially those who either "think" they are [the] authority, or those who have placed themselves in positions of "authority". Why do I mention this here and what does it have to do with my art? It has everything to do with how I see the world around me, how I experience it, and how what I am seeing and experiencing is affecting me (and you as well) when it comes to politics... both national as well as international. That brings me to how my being alive right here, right now, in this time frame, affects my sensibilities as an artist. My life experiences affect what I create because what I create comes from a deep inner feeling of who I am and how I see the world around me. My art reflects that. And if my art can somehow speak to other people, if it can give them a sense or a feeling that doesn't necessarily tell them how I am feeling, but that it speaks to them in their own moment, in their own heart and soul, then I feel that I have done something to contribute to this world of ours. I hope that you like my artwork. My art and design work gives me a deep sense of happiness as I am creating it, and especially after I have finished a piece. If that somehow transfers over to giving you a good feeling or an emotion, no matter what it is, then I am pleased that I was able to help you get into that space.
